The honest-review rules (read these first)
- Ask everyone, not just the happy customers, and use the same message for all of them.
- No rewards. No discounts, freebies or prize draws for reviews, good or bad.
- Never write, edit or post a review for a customer, and don’t ask staff or family to review you.

Paste your Google review link
Where do I find my review link?
On your phone
- Sign in to the Google account that manages your business, then search Google (or open the Google Maps app) for your business name.
- On your Business Profile, look for Read reviews or Reviews, then Get more reviews / Ask for reviews. Google moves these buttons around, so the wording may differ.
- Choose Copy or Share and copy the link. It looks like
https://g.page/r/CExampleOnly123/review. Paste it above.
Google says its own review QR code can only be made on a computer, not on mobile. This page makes the QR on your phone from the link instead.
On a computer
- Search Google for your business while signed in, or open business.google.com.
- Choose Read reviews → Get more reviews, then Copy. Google’s steps: Create a Google link or QR code to request reviews.
No review link? Use your Place ID
- Open Google’s free Place ID Finder, type your business name and pick it.
- Copy the Place ID (usually starts with
ChIJ) and paste it above.
Links that won’t work
maps.app.goo.gl/…orgoogle.com/maps/…: opens your map listing, not the review box.business.google.com/…: your private dashboard. Customers can’t open it.google.com/search?…: a search results page, which changes from person to person.
This page never contacts Google. It only checks the format of what you paste and turns it into a link and QR code, so always test the link on your own phone before printing.
Your review link and QR code
Short form printed under every QR: . Test the link (opens Google).
Static QR codes: they point straight at Google, with no redirect through us, so your prints keep working even if this site disappears. No watermark, no sign-up.
Tradie print pack (one PDF, AU sizes)
In the print dialog choose Save as PDF (or your printer), scale 100% / Actual size, and turn off headers and footers. Each page uses its own paper size; if your printer only takes A4, print the smaller pages at 100% and trim.

Ask from your phone
Builds a message that opens in your own Messages, WhatsApp or email app. You press send. Nothing goes through us.
Rules check
Spam Act reminder: only message people you’ve done work for, say who you are, include an opt-out, and stop when they ask. One reminder at most.
How to ask for Google reviews the right way
- Ask every customer. Don’t pick only the happy ones or send unhappy customers somewhere else first (“review gating”). Google’s policy treats selective or manipulated reviews as fake engagement.
- No incentives. No discounts, freebies, prize draws or “$10 off for a 5-star review”. Google prohibits them, and the ACCC warns incentives for positive reviews risk breaching Australian Consumer Law.
- Don’t write or edit reviews yourself, and don’t ask family or staff to post them without saying who they are.
- Say who you are and let people opt out. Put your business name in every SMS or email and honour “STOP” or “unsubscribe” requests.
- Ask soon, ask once (one polite reminder at most), and reply to every review, good or bad, politely and without customers’ private details.
